Children, have you travel abroad? I went to Durham when I was a tertiary student. Durham is located at the northern Britain. There are many cathedrals and castles. It is a beautiful and quiet place. (It is really a good place for visit) I went there because of immersion. Right, I had a lot of chance to practice my English there. I had lessons there, and went to field trips on every Saturday. It was really fun.:D However, what impressed most was the time that I lived with my host family. Everyone of us had to live with our host family, so that we could have more chance to practice oral English. Also, I learnt some northern accent there. For example, “tara” which means goodbye. My host mom said “tara” to me for every morning.

Let me introduce my host mom to you. Her name is Elsie, a very nice and beautiful lady. She works in a pharmacy. She has one son, and I guess that is why she knows how to take care of others. ;)I remembered that I was ill at the first week. I was very scared because I must see a doctor every time when I got ill in Hong Kong. :oops:I knew that it was not common for people there went to visit a doctor, unless they got seriously hurt. Some people can just buy some medicine from pharmacy and soon they will be fine, but it’s a pity that I cannot. I told this to my host mom and she gave some medicine to me based on her experience.

Surprisingly, I got well after I took the medicine for a few days. It was really a magic. I was so grateful to Elsie because I need not to be afraid when I am ill next time even I am abroad.
I learnt that I must give a try before I say “no”. Children, do you believe in magic? Please have a try before you say that English is difficult and boring. =>English is fun! Believe yourself and make it happen.:p
